The following conditions constitute a legal agreement. You must fully accept these conditions before downloading and/or using any of the logos of the Geocaching Québec Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association").
In 2005, on the QuebecGPS.com discussion forum, there was a discussion about adopting a logo to better identify geocaching enthusiasts in Québec. Users of the forum suggested organizing a small contest to adopt a logo. This is how the first "Géocaching Québec" logo, designed by BeerMan-Qc, came to be. That first logo was similar to the current one but was rectangular instead of round.
Then, in 2006, following the production of the "Géocaching Québec" geocoins and the founding of the Association, the Association’s board decided to adopt the round logos (with and without the website address under the logo) designed by AV Dezign to represent it. The Association purchased the three logos (the rectangular one, the round one without the website address, and the round one with the website address) from their creator and now owns the copyright and exclusive usage rights.
We are aware that things became complicated when these logos, initially seemingly public domain, became the property of the Association. However, trademark law is very clear on one point: if a trademark is not protected by a message asking people not to use it or to use it only in certain ways, it enters the public domain and loses its protected status. If this were to happen, anyone could use the logos without restriction, potentially in ways that could harm the Association.
To protect the integrity and impact of our logos, the Association must maintain artistic control over how its logos are used. We aim to make our logos as widely available as possible as symbols of geocaching in Québec, while still protecting them as trademarks of the Association. Therefore, the following is our policy regarding the use of the Association’s logos:
Non-Commercial Use
The Association permits the use of its logos for non-commercial products and non-commercial websites. In addition to agreeing to all the following conditions, any use of the logos requires acknowledgment of their trademark status. If used on a webpage (such as a cache page), the logos must link to www.geocaching-qc.com. To obtain additional versions of the Association’s logos beyond those available below, email
Acceptable Non-Commercial Uses of the Association’s Logos
The Association’s logos may be used on non-commercial websites—for example, on a cache page—where the context in which the logos are placed portrays geocaching in Québec positively. You must include the following small-print statement somewhere on the page where the logo appears: “The ‘Géocaching Québec’ logo is a trademark of the Geocaching Québec Association. Used with permission.” Ensure that “Geocaching Québec Association” links to our homepage (http://www.geocaching-qc.com).
We are understanding of those with creative ideas who wish to do something fun for their friends and fellow geocachers. The Association’s logos may only be used on non-commercial items. These items may include but are not limited to shirts, hats, geocoins, notebooks, stickers, and cache containers. Additionally, the logos may not be modified in any way. If the use of the logo involves fewer than 25 items, you may consider permission automatically granted. These items may not, under any circumstances, be sold. For larger quantities, request permission by emailing

Unauthorized copying of the Association’s logos or failure to comply with the conditions, restrictions, or limitations defined on this page will result in the automatic termination of permission to use the logos.
No other website has the right to offer the Association’s logos from their site in any form without written consent from the Geocaching Québec Association.
If the Association requests the removal of its logos, you agree to remove them from your server, hard drive, floppy disk, CD-ROM, DVD, Zip disk, network disk, or any other form of electronic/permanent storage within 24 hours.

The Geocaching Québec Association (hereinafter referred to as “AGQ”) occasionally conducts pre-sales of items via its GeoShop. This approach allows our customers to reserve an item that usually sells out quickly.
Please read this document carefully to familiarize yourself with our pre-sale practices through the GeoShop.
1 – General Provisions
1.1 – Scope of Policy Application
This policy applies only to pre-sale items via the AGQ GeoShop.
1.2 – Definitions
AGQ considers an item to be in pre-sale when its production is upcoming or only a small batch has been manufactured with the intention of producing a larger quantity.
AGQ considers an item to remain in pre-sale status until it has been physically received from the supplier by AGQ.
2 – Conditions for Purchasing a Pre-Sale Item
2.1 – Payment
All pre-sale items must be paid for in advance.
2.2 – Production Time Before Shipping
Typically, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks from the start date of the pre-sale for pre-sale items to be shipped.
AGQ does not guarantee that items will be produced and shipped within 4 to 6 weeks. Production issues may cause delays.
AGQ will inform customers of any delays that might prevent shipping within the expected timeframe.
2.3 – PayPal Claims
If a customer files a PayPal claim for not receiving a pre-sale item before AGQ has had the chance to ship it, the order will be immediately canceled and applicable funds refunded.
The customer will not receive the pre-sale item after the order cancellation and may be prohibited from making future purchases from AGQ’s GeoShop.
Filing a complaint will be regarded as a clear indication that the customer did not accept the terms of this Policy and, therefore, should not have placed the order.
2.4 – Order Cancellation
A customer may cancel a pre-sale order at any time by contacting us at
3 – Shipping Conditions for Pre-Sale Items
3.1 – Shipping Delay After Receipt
AGQ will ship orders containing pre-sale items within a reasonable timeframe after receiving the items from the supplier.
AGQ will notify customers when shipping of pre-sale items has begun.
Customers should allow adequate time for delivery. The 4 to 6 week period refers to production time and does not include shipping time to your address, which varies based on location.
3.2 – Mixed Orders
If a customer adds a pre-sale item to an order containing in-stock items, AGQ will hold the entire order until the pre-sale item is in stock and ready for shipment.
AGQ will not split mixed orders into separate shipments. Customers wishing to receive in-stock items earlier should place a separate order for the pre-sale item.
3.3 – Follow-Up Delay
AGQ will not respond to inquiries about pre-sale items before 6 weeks have passed since the pre-sale start date.
Customers are asked to wait at least 6 weeks before inquiring about their pre-sale order. Sending repeated emails requesting updates only slows down order processing for everyone.
AGQ reminds customers that when ordering custom items from our GeoShop that have not yet been manufactured, they are not ordering in-stock items. This means production delays may affect shipping times.
4 – Miscellaneous Provisions
4.1 – Communications
